Initial budget
Do you know how much you have to spend on your new project? Your budget will determine what product material, style, glazing and colours you can choose. It is always a good idea to have a bit of a buffer in the budget just in case you wish to upgrade on security for example.
Site visit
K Glazing will visit your property to get a better understanding of what you want to achieve. While we are with you, we’ll discuss;
• What material you would like your products manufactured in, PVCu or aluminium?
• What style of products do you need? A residential door, composite door, casement window or vertical slider? Or are you looking to add additional living space to your home with a conservatory, or orangery, add a porch, or upgrade your roofline?
• What hardware you would like
• What energy ratings you wish to achieve? Don’t worry we will talk you through these if needed.
• Do you need specialist glazing, such as acoustic, solar coated, self-clean, obscure?
• Do you need to consider building regulations?
Quotation
Following our site visit, we will prepare a detailed quotation, which will give you details of our terms and conditions, information on product guarantees and your finance options. If you are happy with the quotation, our expert surveyor team will revisit your property to take final measurements and confirm the product details with you – at this point you can still make changes. If you make changes further down the line, you may incur additional costs, for example, if you change the style of a door.
All our windows and doors are made to measure for your property to ensure a perfect fit. This means that you do not have a standard cooling-off period.
Our terms of contract cover payment details and at this point, we will ask for a deposit and payment when we start to manufacture. Have you considered using our finance options? Our team will take you through the details.
Installation day
Throughout the day, the K Glazing installation team aims to minimise disruption as much as possible. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and will ensure you are 100% happy with the work undertaken.
Most window and door installations are completed in one day, but large projects may take a little longer. Our experienced team will lay down floor coverings to protect all areas of your home. Please could you remove all furniture, light fittings, curtains, blinds, and electric cables etc. We will also need to use ladders outside, please can you remove garden furniture and pots.
