uPVC soffits and fascias, are guaranteed to keep your home insulated as they provide a solid seal around the roofline of your property.

Roofline Fascias & Soffits

Most homes have fascias, soffits and bargeboards, and many have panels of softwood timber cladding. As with timber windows, to prevent them from rotting these need regular expensive maintenance with painting or ongoing repairs – and it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain these hard to reach areas, particularly if scaffold is required for legal and Health & Safety reasons!

Made from High Quality uPVC

Softwood timber is a porous material and once water has breached the outer layer it is only a matter of time before the timber will start to rot. UPVC on the other hand will never rot, will never need painting and will not discolour. It is also virtually maintenance free.

Frequently asked questions

What are the potential consequences of neglecting the maintenance of soffits and fascias?

Neglect can lead to serious issues such as water damage, mould growth, or structural problems. Regular care is required to avoid these issues.

Regularly inspect your fascias and soffits to keep them in good shape.  Look for any signs of wear and tear.  It’s easy to clean your uPVC fascias and soffits – use a mild detergent and warm water to remove any dirt.  Do not use an abrasive cleaner as this can cause damage to the uPVC.

Caring for your uPVC fascias and soffits is essential to keep your home looking great and functioning correctly.

What do soffits and fascias do?

Soffits and fascias play crucial roles in protecting and finishing the exterior of your home.

The soffits are located under the roof’s overhand and ventilate the roof, allowing airflow to prevent moisture buildup, which is vital for reducing mould and extending the life of the roof.  The roofline fascias (also known as fascia boards) are the horizontal boards that run along the edge of the roof, supporting the lower edge of the roof tiles and providing a service to attach the gutters. They protect your roof from water damage.

Together the soffits and fascias contribute to the overall structural integrity of your home.

Do I need to replace my soffits and facias?

As your surface finishes are designed to protect your property, you need to replace them if there are signs of damage or weaknesses. You should look out for any visible cracks or leaks, as well as peeling paint and discolouration.

What Our Customers Say

Sue Barrett

I got a couple of quotes for all our windows replacing and for a new composite door. K Glazing were the most competitive and I decided to go with them. Have to say, they did a brilliant job, it was all very organised and straightforward from quote to installation. The installation guys were 5*, and I’m super happy with my new windows and door 🙂

Stephen Rigby

Just had repairs completed on my window locks. Very happy with the service and especially with the open and honest advice they gave me. Once the work was completed the lads showed us how to maintain them going forward. I’ve used K Glazing before and they always give great service.

Jenny Allison

After searching for a company that was happy to replace existing glass in my conservatory I finally found K Glazing. The whole process from quotation to measuring to fitting was
both friendly and efficient. I thoroughly recommend them.
Their pricing is also good.

Brian Bentley

Had a lounge window replaced, and the hinges replaced on another window. The service was excellent from start to finish. The fitters were friendly and helpful, explaining each step of the operation. Would recommend this company.
